I started watching less TV when I was in high school due to some of my favorite shows declining in quality or being cancelled. However, starting in 2012, some shows began to capture my interest because of how good people say they are or are right up my alley. Today, I review my favorite shows that aired in 2013.
In the year 2000, Syphon Filter 2 not only came out, but the PlayStation 2 as well. Since many companies started to make games for that console, Eidetic, now changing their name to Bend Studio, remained to make one more Syphon Filter game on the PlayStation, making it yet another PS1 trilogy along with Crash Bandicoot, Spyro, Tekken, and other franchises for that console. Was it worth making it on the PlayStation, or should the developers have jumped to PlayStation 2 instead? Let’s find out as I review Syphon Filter 3. Continue Reading
In contrast to videogames, in my opinion, 2013 was really disappointing when it came to film selections in comparison to last year. Most of the films I’ve watched were either okay or I just didn’t care for it. Even the selection of animated films this year was really mediocre and I didn’t bother to watch most of them because they did not interest me one bit and I heard some of them weren’t really worth it. And don’t get me started about the summer movie line-up.
On the bright side, however, there were at least some films this year that stood out to me to the most and that I really, really liked them. Today, I count down my Top 7 Films from 2013. Why Top Seven? Because it’s a luckier number than 13. Continue Reading
No doubt about it, 2013 is now one of my favorite years in gaming, period. I’ve picked up some many great titles this year, as well as missed out on some for various reasons. Today I will be listing the games I’ve played from least to greatest. There are only two rules on this list:
- They have to be original games and not ports, so the Jak and Daxter Collection on the PS Vita and Ratchet: Deadlocked HD for the PS3 do not qualify (they’re inferior ports anyway).
- This is all my opinion, so don’t complain if some of the games you’ve played are not on the list or not any higher. Instead, feel free to name some of your favorite games from this year.
You might be able to guess which games are on the list, but I also have a few surprises of my own. Without further ado, let’s begin my Top 10 Games of 2013. Continue Reading
After the success of Devil May Cry on the PS2, it was inevitable that sequel would be in the works in order to live up the former’s success. However, not everything went great during development. Hideki Kamiya, who directed the first game, was not brought back to develop the sequel, a move that disappointed him. He would later work on other titles like Viewtiful Joe, Ōkami, and Bayonetta, but no Devil May Cry games.
When the game was first released, critical and fan response was lukewarm at best in contrast to its predecessor. Today, I will take a look at the black sheep of the Devil May Cry franchise (next to the reboot) and see if it’s worthy of the reception it got. Continue Reading
