Won the final round of Blackfang29’s beta tournament vs Wyrewolf and ShadoWolfDemon. I swear I’m going to kill you if Shado starts going on about this lol.
My first AMV of mine containing Digimon Frontier (season 4), and focuses on the two brothers Koji (long hair) and Koichi (short hair). For education purposes, the kids in this season transform into Digimon rather than having partners (the white wolf is Koji and the giant bird is Koichi’s evil evolution. KendoGarurumon and Velgamon = badass). Koji is the warrior of light, Koichi the warrior of darkness.
Let’s get things straight. I don’t like Frontier as a season. I’ll admit there are a lot of delicious parts though (very dark like Tamers, quite sad at parts). However, I ADORE Koji and Kouichi in their hotness (WOLF’S RAIN REF PEOPLE! Koichi and all of his evolutions are played by Crispin Freeman, the voice of Tsume. That makes him even more hot) as well as their relationship. Koji I now have determined to be the character most like me. We tend to have the same outlook, particularly on how we find avoiding emotional attachments to prevent being hurt later to be realistic.
Now, I had no idea what to do with this song. This first started as a Takato AMV, then a Balto one, and now I went and downloaded most of Frontier so I could make this AMV. Both brothers are incomplete (hollow) in a way. Koji keeps emotional distance from everyone, and Koichi longs to meet his long-lost brother. When they both meet, they learn they can never part (light and darkness rely on each other).
Perhaps my most painful AMV to pre-render. I don’t know why x_x. As you can see, my video quality at some parts are really bad. Sorry. And sorry for trying some new techniques. Just found out how to “pulse” and do the funky rectangle thing.
Unlike the others, I MIGHT complete this ugly monstrosity. I still have a few ideas to continue.

vs ButterflyIllusioned (I won…somehow)
FFS contest beta…not going to finish, please don’t ask. However, this one is maybe the best out of all of my contest betas.
ANYN is a difficult anime to make AMVs with, so I should use it when I can (though not be horribly repetitive). My last AMV focused more on Mei’s perspective and on their friendship. This one is in Gabu’s perspective and talks about their friendship, BUT also looks at other stuff more importantly (as it touches on more of my interpretation of the song’s meaning/story).
I used the line “so far away” to describe Gabu’s development. He’s “so far away” from what he used to be (watch the AMV. It’ll make more sense). First he was a beast that considers goats to be his favourite meal (I’m almost positive he was in the hunt where his mom was killed at the beginning, hence why I used those scenes. I tried not to get Giro in there, but oh well), and then makes friends with his “dinner”. However, he’s happier this way. He’s not ashamed, though he felt like it was too good to be true at the start since something so good could only be in a dream (“somebody shake me ‘cuz I, I must be sleeping…”. That was also the scene where Gabu did have those kind of thoughts, so score!).

Not so keen on this one either, but meh. Also tried some random stuff so it won’t be a waste of time…again.
The only stuff that came to mind is do a focus on the lone wolves from the first 3 seasons (Yamato/Matt, Ken, and Ruki/Rika. I swear I’m not obsessed with Ken *whistles innocently*). The lone wolves are (obviously) very emotional and solitary (hence “I will run and hide ’till memories fade away”), and the only ones they confide in are their Digimon. They seem to have some of the closest relationships with their Digimon out of all the digidestined.
Note: GRRRR, there is supposed to be 3 beats towards the end of the AMV, but they seem to be frozen at the end.
Just to clarify, this AMV will NOT be completed. This was just created in part of Blackfang29’s Beta AMV contest.

Tribute to the best human character in the series, Ken (you all shall BOW to him!!!). This AMV is dedicated to Wyrewolf, since she wanted me to do a Ken AMV for months and she commanded me to finish this 0-0. I don’t know why, but every time I try to make her an AMV, the AMV is a bitch.
This AMV focuses on Ken and his shady and independent personality, as well as his friends that constantly reach out and give support to him (particularly Davis, his family, and Wormmon, symbolized by his “Winter Storm”). Because of his past deeds of evil as the Digimon Emporer/Kaiser (as well as being the indirect cause for Wormmon’s death as well as his brother Sam/Osamu’s), Ken always stayed emotionally distant from everyone. However, Davis eventually got to him, convincing Ken that he doesn’t need to be alone and that the others care for him.
If anyone is curious, I’m using both English and Japanese eps. Most are in English, but I used ep 23, 45, and 49 in Japanese (especially 49, since I needed all of the “graphic” scenes of Ken’s likeness getting killed by the Digimon. It was censored in the dub). And as a random fact, Ken (in Japanese) is played by Romi Paku, the same actress who plays Ed in Fullmetal Alchemist (which is incredible, since I fangirl both characters lol).
As you can tell, this AMV was very annoying. I made this more or less without ANY preview window (so I was flying blind), then came the saving problems *shudders*. Because of that, this AMV took about 1 month to complete.

UPDATE: Won “Best Overall” in xKyraxwolf’s AMV contest
I can neither trust the internet translators, my paper dictionary, or my own French skills, so if anyone will please correct the title or the translation I found I would greatly appreciate it.
This is my first full AMV on Sony Vegas, so bear with me on some bits of effect abuse (?) and bits of bad timing. I was just trying out some things (and obviously got flashy pan happy lol).
If anyone asks, yes, I watched the FMA AMV with this song lol. Had the idea before watching it though (watched a Mewtwo AMV). There is an English version to this song, but it doesn’t flow nicely or sound as dark.
I put the focus of the AMV on what happened in the opening. The tribe chief said something about how wolves/Paradise will bring the end of the world. Likewise, the thirst for Paradise has pretty much only brought bad things (thanks to the manga for giving me a little insight. There was a wolf pack that was driven insane by their thirst for Cheza). Like, look at it. Jagara (especially) and Orkham basically destroyed human and wolf kind, Darcia just went plain nuts, Zali’s pack ran into a poisoned tunnel, the wolves risked their very lives, the list goes on. I hope that makes sense 0-0.
About the chorus, it may seem random (well, lower layer of the second/third set is), but I did follow a pattern. I profiled characters and their desires (from the first one, it goes in the order of “wolf’s desire”, “human’s desire”, and “Kiba/Darcia’s desire”). However, at the end, I profiled the destruction of characters through their quest for Paradise (mainly the battles against Jagara and Darciawolf).

UPDATE: Came in 1st of Dame’s AMV contest (ATK class). Also was a commended video (almost good as the winners) for Neravaira’s “The Heart Of Everything” AMV contest.
Entry for Dame’s AMV contest (ATK class) as A birthday prezzie for my long time internet friend, Quilleh (cl0pin on DA. She has awesome stuff).
On top of being my largest video (0.98 GB), this is maybe the DARKEST ADGTH AMV on Youtube. Leave it to Raggs to turn a kid movie into something twisted lol.
This AMV focuses on Charlie and his relationship (EDIT: More like obsession) with death (originally planned to be just him and the watch, but due to this being a fast paced song, I needed ADGTH2). When I got the CD (The Heart Of Everything) and read the lyric book, I found that this song just simply SCREAMED ADGTH. If you can’t see why, watch ADGTH1. If you can’t see it then, then you’re beyond help. After Charlie gets killed by his former partner, Carface, he gets sent to heaven. He is instantly turned off by how there is no surprises (according to the Whippet Angel, “We know how it all turns out”). So, he winds the watch that represents his life, sending him back to earth. However, the Whippet Angel warns him that if that watch stops, he’ll never return to heaven. Charlie often gets nightmares and goes completely bonkers if he thinks his watch is in danger, which is being expressed in this video.
This AMV took about 3 weeks to make and is another Vista video. I did a few bits of “effect abuse”, mainly because I’m trying out new techniques. The editing used here seems to be a bit more “flashy” than my normal stuff, since I’m trying to make myself not look like the weakest link in RDLFS. Admit it peoples.
Oh, since WMM 6.0 has no way to increase video volume, here is what the characters say at the middle of the video.

This is a practice AMV to test out Windows Movie Maker 6.0 for Windows Vista (as you can tell from some of the effects I’ve never used. Woo, effect abuse!!). Until I’m forced to leave 2.1 on XP, then I’ll continue to use it. Doing AMVs on a laptop is awkward and although it was an angel through most of the eding process, it really messed with me during saving. Blarg. The timing was messed because WMM shifted the timing by about a second (which is HUGE in editing terms), so I had to shift the audio file. This resulted in some timing mishaps, but nothing too deadly.
Anyways, my first (and only? Hard to find good songs with this anime) AMV to the adorable anime movie, Arashi No Yoru Ni (also called On A Stormy Night, or just Stormy Night). I got it for my birthday on DVD. It’s a story about a wolf (Gav/Gabu) and a goat (Mei) that become friends, and run away to a far away forest where they can be away from their species (naturally the goat herd got pissed at Mei and the wolf pack got EXTREMELY pissed at Gabu with their friendships).
This song works extremely well and it practically made itself. This song is from The Emporer’s New Groove about Kuzco and Pacha’s unusual “against all odds” friendship, so why not apply it to a wolf and a goat’s? The AMV is aimed at Mei telling the story.
Oh, and I think this may be AMV #30, and on April 29, it should be my 2 year mark for AMV making.

Anyways, don’t know what you people are smoking, but whatever it is, it must be pretty good if you think this AMV is great. I personally don’t see the hype 0-0. Oh well *sulks in her little fangirl corner*.
This AMV focuses on Tsume, though naturally you have to look at his relationships with Toboe and Tsume as well (not exactly as couples, but just their bond. If believe in one of the couples, that works too). He acts like a big brother towards Toboe, while being almost a “friendly rival” towards Kiba (more towards the middle/end you can see it).

Woah, am I out of my element. A canine AMV maker choosing to do a character tribute on a demon-like Digimon. Still, pretty decent. Ah, the nostalgia. I would wake up early in the morning, run downstairs, skip breakfast, and watch a new episode of Digimon. I watched seasons 1-3, though I have little motivation to watch 4-5.
For those not Digimon savvy, the little guy is Impmon, and the big guy with the awesome guns is Beelzemon (Beelzebumon in the Japanese version). Digimon digivolve as they get stronger, so Impmon is his rookie form, his champion/ultimate forms are unknown, and then above that is Beelzemon. They are all the same character though. I have a huge write up about Impmon/Beelzemon and how they’re in the plot, but it’s too long for the description (this is what you get when a Beelzemon fangirl to write something about him). Message me though.
Like “Assassin Unforgiven”, this is split into a story: 0:23 – 0:51 : Impmon basically looking at his own life, referring to his Beelzemon form as “bad dreams” and madness. 0:51 – 1:19: Battle against Indramon and meating Catsuramon when he hits rock bottom. Begins his rampage as Beelzemon. 1:19 – 2:07: Battle against the tamers, death of Leomon, battle against Megidramon, battle against Gallantmon. 2:07 – 2:25: Impmon looking at all he lost with his thirst of power as he dedigivolves, as well as looking back at Jeri’s depression and mercy. He meets his old tamers, gets a toy gun to “shoot the bad guys with”, then warp digivolves to Beelzemon. 2:25 – end: Beelzemon joining the battle against the D-Reaper and risks his life to save Jeri. Ending with him getting impaled in the back by the D-Reaper’s tiles and plummets from the sky.
Ok, this took me about a week to do (thankfully it’s a shorter song). Yes, my first true LP song lol. Over the last few months, I’ve noticed a lack of AMVs dedicated to this character that are high in “expertise” (there are still a few that I do enjoy though. Check my favs), so this is my stab at it. I tried to keep to a story, and though I bounced around some places, I think I captured the point. Impmon is obsessed with being the strongest, always tries to do things by himself, and gets his ass kicked. Though it may not match exactly, that’s the basic theme with the song. Of course it goes deeper, but meh.

My first Balto ONLY AMV since May 2006. Wow…and took only 3 days.
And in case anyone is wondering, this is not really a metal song. The singing style is called a cappella. I’m not a person to listen to a lot of music outside of rock and metal, but this song is to die for. I know lots of people will maybe get pissed, but screw them (or you, just in case you also think this way). I’m an AMV maker, and I do songs to whatever song I find suiting. Damn straight I do! Perhaps consider this a test to see whether you like me for my AMVs or for the music I use *low throated growl*.
I assure you, I find the signature riff from “Smoke On The Water” by Deep Purple sexier than any person that has ever lived.
AMV talk now. I used the original video’s audio in several parts, both for emotion and story…also out of lazyness (hey, vacation isn’t over yet). I was going to do it at the end too, but it sounded tacky with the wolf howl and orchestra going with the singing.
This song is very suiting for Balto. Just listen, and you’ll see. ‘Nuff said. This isn’t one of those videos that need me to write 80 lines worth to explain things.
I would put the entire dialogue, but there is too much.
