I sent Possk Jak and Daxter and Jak 2 last year, and she sent me a package with some random stuff since my birthday is in about 2 weeks. I…have nothing else to say except how she’s currently getting her ass kicked in Jak 2 and she hasn’t even started looking for seal pieces yet lol :3. Pray for her.
Just finishing up the other video and added a few more things (mostly things I forgot). When I’m not at school I’m usually at work, so other than my pre-order of Skyward Sword, I won’t be getting anything else interesting.
There isn’t really much focus in this video. This and the next one is mostly wrapping up some new stuff and some stuff I forgot to show throughout the videos. Oh, and stuff on my walls. STUFF EVERYWHERE!
There was a dispute between AMV makers Raggedstar and xPosskx over superiority. Raggedstar thought Possk was superior and vise-versa (oh don’t worry, Shado will get her video eventually). And so, Raggedstar made a dick move of a plan she created after wandering the internet. The deal was made and the fight would be at an end…through a battle of POKEMON!. If Raggedstar’s “secret weapon” among her team (lovingly named “The Spartans”. There is a 300 joke here somewhere but I can’t put my finger on it) could be thwarted, then she would be the superior AMV maker. If the “secret weapon” does as it should, then Possk would be superior. This may seem rather confusing but just accept it (wouldn’t even come to this if Possk was a good girl and claimed her rightful superiority in the first place). Who would win?
The Greeks invented cruel and unusual punishment. Past, Tantalus is stranded on an island where fruit and water are held slightly away from his reach. Present, er…this lol.
Sorry about the quality. I had to use a camera (my capture card won’t work on my DS) and because of the noise I had to do it near the laundry room so people wouldn’t complain. It’s not too bad at least. Thankfully my DS is black so it blended with the dark room.
Comment of the day goes to TAR: “1 person got owned by Raggs. Oh wait…”
IT’S MY 5TH YEAR AMV ANIVERSARY! What better way to celebrate my 5 years of inferiority than a fail reel of a fail game?
No, I’m not taking a shot at Spyro 1 itself (though it is my least favourite of the original trilogy). However, the Japanese version (NTSC-J) is…awful. It’s not a simple dub of the text and audio. I outlined a few of them in my blog entry (here). I honestly can’t play this version more than 30 minutes or so because it’s just so frustrating and nauseating for the camera to get stuck all the time and me having to rotate it. At least the camera in the normal version is functional.
I had this project file sitting on my hard drive since November 2009, so I quickly did some commentary today. I have no more ideas for fail reels, so that’s it for now. I was planning a KH Sephiroth fail reel, but it was too depressing and repetitive. FF7 Sephy is too difficult to record since if you die, the game resets and you have to go back to the last save point…which is before a Jenova fight and Bizzaro Sephiroth. You have to beat them before you can fight Safer Sephiroth.
I also disabled annotations because people complained and I can’t moderate all the time.
-I started recording at Peacekeepers because I wasn’t intending to create a fail reel at all. All you missed was my epic death in the homeworld because the camera wouldn’t turn around towards shore. -Spyro 2’s subtitle was named “Tondemo Tours”. It suffers from many of the same faults that this game does -Spyro 3 never went to Japan, yet Enter The Dragonfly did. -Glitch learned from yearofthe’s video outlining how to get that key without chasing the first airplane thief.
This video was originally done for my new(ish) movies, but I also put in two other things in. One I got not too long after I did the other video, and the other is a recent development I want to bitch about (and because by tomorrow morning, there is a good chance it’ll be gone. You’ll see why *facepalm*).
Wow, this is a short description, eh? Don’t worry, for there shall be long-winded AMV descriptions in due time.
It’s been roughly a year since my last collections series and I have got more stuff (though some of it will just be things I forgot to include before). I’m not a big vlogger, but I wanted to try out my sexy new camera that I got for Christmas. Sound is SO much better, so I didn’t bother using my mic (so less work for me!).
The biggest increase is in my games. I’m not a collector, but there are so many games I wanted to play and I had a lot of time to burn (though this being the semester from hell + now having a job, it’s getting harder to find time). Here are all of the games I got since the last collections video.
The next video will most likely be movies, then other knick knacks and stuff I forgot from before (I FOUND MY POKEMON CARDS BY THE WAY!).
I have rediscovered my love of the original Spyro trilogy (Spyro The Dragon, Ripo’s Rage, Year Of The Dragon). Yep, Raggedstar is a closet Spyro fan. A few months ago, I started playing them. Since then, I have played each game 3 times (YOTD is at 2) with each at max completion. I can actually complete Ripto’s Rage in an afternoon as well as beat all bosses without superflame (except Ripto. EDIT: Nevermind, I’ve beaten Ripto recently without superflame 3 times). Enough about how I’m supposedly good at the game. This video features some of my…less proud periods of playing. All footage was recorded in May (my 2nd time beating it this year, so I’m a little rusty). Although it may not seem like it, I really didn’t die a lot outside of boss battles.
Since I recorded myself playing the first two games (not sure if I’m going to do the 3rd. Some of the challenges in there take me hours to do), I might do a fail reel of the first as well. More importantly, I’ll be making a music video (hopefully) to a certain DragonForce song *cough*. Elements seen in DF are really suited to video games it seems.
Some things to note: -No fails in Idol Springs and what remains of my Robotica Farms stuff. I only got hit by a guy with a hot dog on a stick. That’s it. -Some of my clips were deleted somehow. That includes my first try with Aquaria Towers, Crush, and Robotica Farms. -Glimmer and Autumn Plains recorded without audio x_x. -To non-Spyro fans for some reason watching, the dragonfly (Sparx) collects my gems and is my health meter. It goes gold, blue, green, gone, Spyro death. -Some of my dialogue has been shifted. Forgot to turn the ripple off. -No Speedway fails shown. Every Speedway I fail at anyways (other than Icy. I can screw up and STILL get a skill point there) -It took 30 minutes for me to find that damn lizard in Glimmer x_x. -Despite being blown to kingdom come (repeatedly), I never lost a life in Zephyr. Same goes for Magma Cone. -About the end, I STILL don’t know what happened when I faced Ripto. We were both at near death, but we hit each other. Even though Ripto was hit first, the battle was reset. -Ice Cavern (Spyro 1) is where I lost my first life in the game…thanks to Shado *glare*.

The final fail reel to close the last Spyro game made by Insomniac.
For those just joining us, this is a video of me playing Spyro 3, though focusing on the blunders, from being double-killed by a boss, to running off cliffs, and face-planting into the pavement while skateboarding.
As I said at the end of the Spyro 1 fail reel, my recorder decided not to record Sunrise Springs (first homeworld) and all of the levels inside the homeworld. Instead of going back and play it again (for another 2 hours), I decided to start at Buzz’s Dungeon (where the cutscene and first fails are). The only Sunrise Spring level I have recorded was Molten Crater (?), since I needed to come back anyways to do Sgt. Byrd’s challenge.
Notes:
-Spyro 3 is a crossbreed between games 1-2. The enemies leave gems, gem counts rise through levels, and the music is upbeat like the first game, but there are puzzles, mandatory arena boss battles, skill points, as well as characters, gem uses, and abilities from the 2nd.
-For those that don’t know the game very well, something new is that for certain levels/challenges, you play different characters that you free. There is Sheila the kangaroo (ya, the same one that made me get flattened by Buzz x_x), Sgt. Byrd the flying penguin, Bentley the yeti, and Agent 9 the monkey.
-The original cut of the video was over 13 minutes long (not counting the Moneybags roasting session), so I had to cut it dramatically.
-Why is it that it seems so easy to beat Spike when you watch other people do it, but you can’t do it yourself? (without dying 5 times that is)
-Can someone PLEASE smack Greta for making me use the cannon? It’s hardly fair that I need to be blasted from the cannon and she just has to “fwee her mind” x____x.
-I didn’t use to suck that much in first-person shooters, I swear it!
-Agent 9, I love you as much as I can love a gun-weilding psycho-monkey, but why are your puzzles so hard?
-I didn’t know my voice could go that high 0-0.
-I frequently lose my controls in this game since I have to use the L-R buttons for some of the levels.
-The more I fight against the Sorceress, the more I appreciate the final battle against Ripto. Best.Boss.EVER!
-The “No sheep harmed” bit is a play on the gag at the end of the Spyro 1 credits, where it says “No sheep were harmed in the making of this game. A few gnorcs, but no sheep” (or something like that).
-I will not do Let’s Play videos or tutorials because I have bad habits (duh, that’s what these fail reels are about). If you want good LPs, check out people like RedDevilDazzy2007, Spyrojam86, and FourSwordsLord (I’ll add more when I remember. Tell me if you find good ones so I can give shameless advertisements).
Game: Spyro 3: Year Of The Dragon Player: Raggedstar Date: July 4-5 2009?
Last part, yepyep. Of course the two are highly unrelated, but they fit together best as far as time went.
And sorry, my mic went REALLY bad for the games. The only place that had room involved me using the full length of my wire, so the mic itself was closer to my face.
NOTE: Yes, I use a PS2 and not a PS3, shut it. There are VERY FEW games I’m interested in for the PS3 (mostly the R&CF ones), and that isn’t even all the games I indend to get for the PS2. If the PS3 had better/any BC, then logic says that it would be the better buy for me.
