Raggs Plays The Lion King [Lvl 6-8]

Ugh, WLMM, when I say that I want everything but the second segment deleted by using select all + delete and ctrl-ing everything I want, that means that I want you to KEEP the audio from the second segment and not replace it with the audio from the first. Why is this thing replacing the old WMMs?

Oh, and I uploaded something on schedule. FANTASTIC!! Shame this is only 3 parts though lol.

Shit is getting real in this game! We have Simba grows up and then I have 3 deaths in one part (though thankfully, they are my only 3 deaths. Last one happened soon after this part ended. Remember when I said it would be easy if I didn’t do something stupid?). We’re getting into the evil levels, starting with Hakuna Matata (yes, this level is surprisingly evil. Ask anyone that played this game).

Difficulty: Normal
Levels: Hakuna Matata, Simba’s Destiny, Be Prepared

Raggs Plays The Lion King [Lvl 1-5]

This is going to be a bit of a short LP, done mostly because my friends wanted me to (many of us had this game as a kid). This is The Lion King for the Sega Genesis (version I’m playing, which is the best one :3), SNES, and PC. I originally recorded this in early May, but held off so I could re-record because quality is somewhat shitty (my recorder I used with Spyro 2 died. The settings are gone and I can’t get the same quality). Buuuut shitty quality beat out of sync frame dropping every few seconds like with the other recorders I used. These parts won’t be named, since this will only be 3 parts. Instead, I’ll just use level numbers (hell, I just beat half the game in this part).

This is a game from my childhood. I remember getting it for Christmas 1994 and I was obsessed with it. Seriously, I was so determined to beat it, though I couldn’t until I was in my teens (because we all know how I fail like that). People that have played this game know that many parts aren’t easy, especially for young children. It’s your typical side-scrolling platformer. Quite good for the time, but a bit dodgy. Still a great game and really hits my nostalgia kick.

Difficulty: Normal
Levels: The Pridelands, Can’t Wait To Be King, Elephant Graveyard, The Stampede, Simba’s Exile

Raggs Plays Okami [49] [Sayonara!] [Credits]

IT’S DONE, OK!? IT’S FINALLY DONE! WOOOOOOO!

This part doesn’t contain any gameplay. It just has the last cutscenes, credits, my ranking, etc. It can be skipped, but whatever.

I hope you enjoyed these videos. I loved having another oppertunity to play my favourite game again, just I’m not particularly good at showing and recording it lol. This will be IT as far as LPs and such. Request all you like, though there’s about a 90% chance or so that I’ll stop. Though if I do something, it’ll most likely be Spyro 3 (because of the Canadian stuff lol) or some Sega Genesis game I can easily zip through in one sitting.

Raggs Plays Okami [48] [Ammy’s Last Stand!] [Yami]

THIS is easily the most epic moment in the game (…in my opinion). The cutscene, final round, everything. Beautiful, a bit sad, epic, it’s all just so good. Okamiden’s final boss is somewhat like this, and even though it’s not AS good, it’s easily the best moment in the game and decent successor to the final round against Yami.

Raggs Plays Okami [47] [Rocket Spam] [Yami]

Sorry, I’ve been really tired/busy. Also didn’t name this part properly in my hard drive so I kinda lost it for a while.

Still fighting Yami. Here are the 3rd and 4th stages. Looks like this series will be about 49 parts (part 48 is rendering right now). Wow 0_0.

And I take back all of the bad things I said about ice in this part. It’s perhaps the heaviest hitting attack you can do against the kernal…and it hits MULTIPLE times with one brush stroke.

Raggs Plays Okami [46] [I HAS RESOLVE!] [Yami]

But do I have SKILL? Well, not really. My ass doesn’t get BADLY kicked though lol.

Yami is the final boss in the game, and damn he’s (it’s?) a doozy. REALLY long fight, including some very long cutscenes. But damn it, I love Yami as a boss (and the music is amazing).

Info: Yami has 5 stages. First one is a simple ball with saws and rockets, next is a segmented flaming, third is a slot machine, and fourth has swinging arms, legs, and guns. Look at the fifth for yourself. And seeing as there are so many attacks and variables, I can’t really comment on strategy. It’s an endurance match.

Raggs Plays Okami [45] [More Boss Deja-vu] [True Orochi and Blight]

Looks like this boss run will be a part or two shy of Spyro 2 0-0. This is the last part before we fight the (super awesome) final boss, and that one will take about 4 parts (which includes the credits and everything).

Still got nothing to say about this bosses except this is where I finally had a brain while fighting Orochi.

Raggs Plays Okami [44] [Boss Deja-Vu] [Boss Rematches: Ninetails, Crimson Helm and Spider Queen]

I have nothing to say really except for how these fights don’t need to be here. It was made even worse in Okamiden (final boss was epic, but fighting the bosses AND the grunt enemies was just excessive). Ok, enough nitpicking at Okamiden. Just watch!

Raggs Plays Okami [43] [We’re On An…Ark] [Ark Of Yamato]

Wow, that was a really forced title.

Ok, I think I found my new profile picture lol.

LAST STAGE OF THE GAAAAAAAAAAAAAME! Strangely, Okamiden’s ending has a similar format to this (oh ya, forgot to say that I got and beat Okamiden).
The clip here is a bit short because I cut the clips strangely. Can’t explain, but it doesn’t matter. Rest will maybe be around 14-15 minutes.

Info: The Ark Of Yamato is a bit of a pseudo dungeon that honestly didn’t need to happen. Whatever. Odds are they did it to put in some cushioning between the 2nd last boss and the last boss, giving some history lessons about The Ark and the Moon Tribe, and lengthening the game another 30 minutes or so. In the ark, you have to defeat every one of the main bosses (except you only face Orochi once and the twin owls are excluded). That’s Blight, Spider Queen, Ninetails, Crimson Helm, and Orochi to be completed in any order. No puzzles, no exploration, just kick some ass. They work the same way as they did before, except now they’re hideously underpowered and should be a breeze. After you beat them, you’ll be sent to the most epic boss fight in the history of the PS2.

Raggs Plays Okami [42] [Clockwork Owls] [Lechku and Nechku]

Epic fight is epic.

And I’ll be honest. I forgot to upload those few days.

Info: Lechku and Nechku will fight you the same time, with Oki lending a hand to take them down (though his part is fairly small). They have a wide variety of attacks including icicles, bombs, swords, swooping, and their infamous time-stopping attack that I hate so much. Hell, they even give you health (what gentlemen they are!). Not hard, just very chaotic with two owls going at you at the same time.
