CJF’s MLP Reviews: Make New Friends But Keep Discord

Posted by CrashJakFan1994 (CJF94) on May 23, 2015

Hooray for an episode centering around Discord. Even after he reformed in Season 3, he is still a lot of fun, being the mischievous draconequus that he always is. Not to mention that he is voiced by Q from Star Trek: The Next Generation, doubling the fun. It seems as though we have yet another great episode in this season, taking advantage of Discord’s comedy, while still providing a relatable situation.

The episode begins with Discord and Fluttershy having a tea party. Fluttershy reveals to him that she is taking someone to the Grand Galloping Gala, the show’s equivalent to a ball. Discord is a little ticked off about this, but tries not to show it in front of her. Yup, it’s a jealousy episode.

Love couples in general aren’t really my forte when it comes to fictional franchises and stories, but I’ll admit that there are few that I can appreciate or have a guilty pleasure with two fictional characters falling in love. In video games, there aren’t so many that I can appreciate, but there are a few that I simply adore or don’t mind in that specific medium. This would have been appropriate for Valentine’s Day, but I had a really busy and hectic schedule to deal with this February. So…yeah….

This is T-McBee here listing down my Top 10 Video Game Couples. You all know my rules by now with my one choice per franchise and my picks are just my personal preferences. You are always welcome to mention your favourites by leaving a comment below, but with positive taste of course.

That’s enough of my rambling for the intro…

L-L-Legit! You are now reading a new post of the Legit Animation Blog.

Half of the 2010 decade has just arrived, so it’s about time I mention my favourite animated shows from 2010 to 2015 by far. Tons of great animated programming has come on TV during this decade, especially children’s programming that have shown stellar quality that even an older audience can appreciate.

This is T-McBee here throwing in choices of my Favourite Animated Shows of the 2010 Decade(by far) with this latest post. The following choices are just my personal preferences which they don’t go in any order. I’ll be explaining my five most wanted watch shows first, then the other five will just quickly be mentioned (whether I’m slowly catching up to them or just watch them on the side). This will be one of the quickest list I’ll ever post for the Legit segment this…

T-McBee’s Throwback Fan Art – Part 1

Hey everyone! T-McBee’s here to do something a little different for her blog besides favourites lists and countdowns. For those who may not know me too well, I do a lot of graphic designs and arts on the side. The caricature of myself used for my previous post banners and my avatar in the forums at ItsTailTime.net (the one that you see above) was drawn by me. My love for drawing and cartooning really shows my appreciation to draw and do some art by the look of my icon.

Recently I’ve looked through a box of old artworks and noticed a lot of fan art I drew over the years. While there are some really old fan arts that I no longer have anymore, I still kept ones that are great to look at even to this day. Even if some are incomplete or may look awful compare to what…

CJF’s MLP Reviews: Appleoosa’s Most Wanted

Posted by CrashJakFan1994 (CJF94) on May 14, 2015

Dave Polsky is one of my favorite writers in My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. While he is a great comedic writer with episodes such as “Feeling Pinkie Keen” and “Over a Barrel,” he stepped out of his comfort zone in the fourth season. He tried out different things that weren’t heavy on comedy like “Rarity Takes Manehattan” and even a surreal episode, “For Whom the Sweetie Belle Toils,” all of which he succeeded at. Now that we have an episode written by him this season, I was pretty excited for how it was going to turn out. However, it seems as though he stepped back into his comfort zone, but does that make “Appleoosa’s Most Wanted” bad in any way? Not really.

The episode begins at Appleoosa’s rodeo show. Apple Bloom, Sweetie Belle, and Scootaloo are interested in taking part so they can get their Cutie Marks. They learn that the town is keeping a close eye on a criminal, and we get a glimpse of his shadow and his hoof print.

Gexup – Top Platformers for Every Console

Posted by Keith Allen Weber on May 10, 2015
Posted in: Uncategorized. Tagged: Best Platformers, gexup, Platform Games, Platformer, Platforming. Leave a comment

Is there a platformer movie? Is there a platformer novel? Is there such a thing as a platformer television show? Nope. The existence of platformer only exists in video games. It’s simple really, it’s an action game genre where the main goal is to adventure, defeat enemies, and (most importantly) jump to platform to platform. Jumping on platform to platform is some of my favorite things to do in a video game. Platform games (or platformers) really are my favorite genre of video games. The fact that there are so many different challenges of platforming for every single game in the genre offers variety for a veteran like me. To add even more variety, there are so many subgenres of platformers like metroidvania, hop and bop, cinematic platformers, 3d platformers, and many more! Platformers maybe the most important video game genre ever because during the crash of 1983, what saved the video game industry? Super Mario Bros., and that was a platformer! I always say that every console needs a platformer and here I am announcing my future project exclusively for itstailtime.net!

Since a lot of you guys wonder what are my favorite platformers for each of these consoles, I’m giving you guys my favorite platform games for each and every console that I’ve played. So below are the list of Top 10’s you’re going to see in blog form.

  1. Top 5 Consoles for the Atari 2600
  2. Top 10 Platformers for the NES
  3. Top 10 Platformers for the SNES
  4. Top 10 Platformers for the N64
  5. Top 5 Platformers for the Gamecube
  6. Top 5 Platformers for the Wii
  7. Top 10 Platformers for the Sega Master System
  8. Top 10 Platformers for the Genesis
  9. Top 10 Platformers for the Saturn
  10. Top 10 Platformers for the Dreamcast
  11. Top 10 Platformers for the PS1
  12. Top 10 Platformers for the PS2
  13. Top 10 Platformers for the PS3
  14. Top 10 Platformers for the Xbox
  15. Top 5 Platformers for the Xbox 360
  16. Top 10 Platformers for the TurboGrafx 16
  17. Top 10 Platformers for the NEO GEO
  18. Gexup’s Top 10 Consoles for Platformers
  19. Gexup’s Top 20 Favorite 2D Platformers

Keep in mind that these are not only my opinion of the best platformers for each console, but they are recommendations for people who want to platform for a whole different variety of games. I’m not going to do a one game per franchise rule, but go all out on each of these lists. Hope you all enjoy these lists coming soon!

Gexup – Top 5 Platformers for the Atari 2600

Posted by Keith Allen Weber on May 10, 2015
Posted in: Uncategorized. Leave a comment

To begin this Top 10 Platformers for every Console, lets start out with the Atari 2600, the birthplace of platformers. I respect the Atari 2600 for being console that began the video game industry and all of its history. It was the first console that started the whole console trend that we all take for granted today.  It might be a generation gap for me but I have a hard time giving that much appreciation for a gaming machine like this because this was before the time when gaming had storylines and long hours of gameplay became the norm. I couldn’t enjoy it a much as I would like to. But what fascinated me is that this is where platformers first existed. So for those who says Super Mario Bros. was the first platformer honestly is ignoring the Atari 2600 entirely. The theory of having a button to jump over enemies and land counts as a platformer and it surprised me that I could make a countdown of platformers for this list (though there aren’t that many). So here are the 5 best platformers for this console.
