Gexup – Alien 3 is Underrated

“One man’s trash is another man’s treasure” is one of my favorite quotes. And none can fit the picture more-so than Alien 3. I understand that Alien 3 is very mixed with so many people because its a follow-up from the action-packed Aliens (sequel of Alien) and it blew us all of away. The Alien Trilogy is my favorite movie trilogy of all time and the third film of the series is in my top 10 favorite movies ever. You might think that it’s blasphemy to say that Alien 3 is better than Ridley Scott’s Alien and James Cameron’s Aliens, even though those two directors are the biggest talents in Hollywood today, David Fincher’s Alien 3 in terms of storytelling, dynamic camera shots, and overall filmmaking. I don’t care if it wasn’t as fun or as scary as the past films, what the third film offered tremendously was spirituality to its audience. And analyzing Alien 3 as a spiritual film is what this blog is going in-depth with.

CJF’s MLP Reviews: Tanks for the Memories

Two episodes in a row! Two episodes in which I felt really conflicted the first time watching. However, unlike “Bloom and Gloom,” it’s not the predictability of the episode that bothered me. This time, it’s Rainbow Dash herself. While I do enjoy Rainbow Dash as a character (for the most part) she is far from being my favorite member of the Mane 6. I guess it’s her egotism that kind of throws me off. However, she does have her great moments, especially in this episode.

It starts with Rainbow Dash and her pet tortoise, Tank, preparing for winter, as Cloudsdale is approaching Ponyville. It’s actually nice to see Tank again, who’s only appeared in two episodes throughout the whole series. Rainbow Dash is hyped up for winter and all the fun she’ll have with her tortoise, but Tank is starting to feel tired.

CJF’s MLP Reviews: Bloom & Gloom

So it’s one of THOSE episodes. Anyone who’s seen “Sleepless in Ponyville” and “For Whom the Sweetie Belle Toils” and craved for another episode like those, this time featuring Apple Bloom, your wish has been granted. Before I begin, what do I think of the Cutie Mark Crusaders? I like them. They’re all pretty interesting and a lot of fun to watch. I especially like some of the episodes focused on one of them individually like the previously mentioned “Sleepless in Ponyville” for Scootaloo and “Sisterhooves Social” for Sweetie Belle.

Now putting that aside, I was rather flabbergasted with this week’s new episode. It’s actually hard to talk about something that I do not have a full opinion towards, so I watched it again. “Bloom & Gloom” is not one of my favorite episodes, but I do not dislike it at all.

Zookstar’s 5 Favourite Female and Male Characters

When it comes to characters in entertainment media I’m not really asking for something deep and complex. As long as they are likeable, entertaining and provide a good role model that’s all I honestly care about. Sure I love me some philosophy and no doubt they’re characters I like with that trait but it’s not something I hold top priority when it comes to fictional characters. And needless to say, these characters I’m about to discuss provided the right inspiration and entertainment for me. So keep in mind, these are not what I consider the best but rather my personal favourite. If your favourite male and/or female character isn’t included here it’s either because I’ve never heard of them or they aren’t what I consider to be the most entertaining or who I would look up to. I won’t be discussing villains since I’ve kinda already did that with my Top 6 Animated Animal Villains And I am only choosing 5 for both lists because I can only talk about so much and these are not Top lists because it’s hard to choose a favourite. I’m starting with the female list because ladies first. lol

CJF’s MLP Reviews: Castle Sweet Castle

As expected, we move from an adventurous plot to a slice of life plot, and like I said in the last review, it’s nice to have a change of pace. With that said, this was a nice breather episode, and the more I think about it, the better the episode gets. Why is that?

The episode starts with Twilight helping Fluttershy washing the animals. Twilight is wondering if there are any animals left to wash, and Fluttershy says that they’re the only two. Did Fluttershy just call themselves “animals” even though ponies are highly civilized? That’s like if humans called themselves animals. When Fluttershy mentions Twilight should return to her castle to rest, Twilight suspiciously wants to stay by “accidentally” splashing Angel Bunny in the mud. Considering how much of jerk that bunny was in the past, he had it coming, and it’s funny to watch.

CJF’s MLP Reviews: The Cutie Map

I want to be more productive this year, so why not do reviews on individual episodes? Since Season 5 of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic just premiered, this seemed to be like a good opportunity. And before you ask, no I’m not going to review the last four seasons as it would take too much time. So here’s my review on the Season 5 premiere “The Cutie Map.”

To recap, Twilight Sparkle and her friends Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, Rarity, Rainbow Dash, and Applejack, unlocked the mysterious chest used to defeat Tirek and out pops a shiny castle replacing Twilight’s destroyed home. Cut to almost a year and one Equestria Girls movie later, Twilight is wondering why the castle appeared in the first place. As soon as she sits in her chair, out pops a table representing a holographic map of Equestria.
